I\u2019m a journalist, audio engineer and proud resident of Columbia Heights.<\/strong> I moved here in 2021 for a job at The Washington Post and immediately fell in love with the neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many nights you can find me chatting with friends and neighbors at The Wonderland Ballroom<\/strong>, where I was proud to host one of the legendary Sundress Festivals and serve as a judge for the most recent one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m running for ANC because I want every resident to feel the same spirit of camaraderie and connection<\/strong> I\u2019ve felt here for the last five years. As a journalist, I\u2019ve spent over a decade in the weeds of city policy<\/strong>, interviewing lawmakers, city planners, budget officials, mayors and former presidents. It\u2019s given me a real understanding of the relationship between people and their government<\/strong>, and now I want to use that knowledge to deliver for the people of Columbia Heights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My vision for Columbia Heights is a neighborhood where people know each other.<\/strong> That means cleaner streets, more homes and a city that answers when we call.<\/strong> But it also means more reasons to get out of the house, whether that\u2019s a movie night in the park, a cultural event on 11th Street or a block cleanup that ends with a drink at Wonderland, Buddy\u2019s, El Chucho or Red Rocks. As your commissioner, I want to help make this a place where people love to live and have fun doing it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
