I’m running because of my neighbors. This is the most vibrant place I’ve ever lived, and it has changed me for the better. Now I want to do my part to bring people together. I believe friendship is what holds a neighborhood together, and I want to build a stronger community here in our district.

As commissioner, I will:

• Host free outdoor film nights in our parks and public spaces, working with the Department of Parks and Recreation to get them permitted.
• Push the ANC to direct its grant funding to local artists and arts groups that serve our neighborhood.
• Put on cultural events that celebrate the history, diversity and legacy of Columbia Heights, and bring more foot traffic to the small businesses on 11th Street.
