DC deserves to be recognized for what it is: a state. Until then, I’ll work to make sure our rights are respected and our residents are protected from federal overreach.

As commissioner, I will:

• Stand up for DC home rule by passing ANC resolutions and testifying against congressional efforts to overturn laws DC residents and our elected leaders have passed.
• Keep a close eye on federal activity in our district and share regular, verified updates so residents know what’s happening on their own blocks.
• Connect neighbors with know-your-rights information and legal aid, so everyone knows what to do if they’re approached by federal agents.
